Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Essential Job Duties: Manages retirement, health and wellbeing programs, to include, billing, vendor management, and reporting.

  • Analyze current benefit program utilization and report benefit costs to key stakeholders.

  • Coordinates the design and communication of annual benefit enrollment materials.

  • Recommends benefits programs to management by analyzing trends, utilization rates and industry best practices.

  • Resolves employee questions by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.

  • Ensures programs comply with all legal requirements.

  • Research and recommend new Total Rewards offerings.

  • Manage all onsite health and welfare events including but not limited to vendor contact, room set up, day to day contact, etc.

  • Perform regular audits of payroll and benefit-related processes and procedures to ensure compliance

  • Process HRA/HSA/FSA fundings as well as monthly billing

  • Manages inquires from applicants, employees and supervisors as it relates to benefits

  • Maintains the Beneifts platform with current policies and documents as applicable

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years managing employee health and wellness programs

  • Advanced knowledge of benefit plans, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, life insurance, disability, leave of absence, etc.

  • Ability to identify trends and suggest mitigating actions

  • Ability to problem solve and look beyond the obvious solution to a problem; to dig deeper for the very best solution

  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written with all employees from front line through Sr. Management as well as third parties and vendors.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • Extreme high level of diplomacy, confidentiality and trustworthiness with uncompromising standards of honesty and professional ethics

  • Workday experience a strong plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task, identify and set priorities and to excel under demanding time constraints

  • Knowledge of all State and Federal laws as they pertain to employee leaves of absence, ADA, Worker’s Compensation and employee benefit plans

  • Advance knowledge of MS excel to include vlookups and pivot tables


BA/BS degree required from a regionally or approved nationally accredited University. All candidates must provide proof of official transcripts upon request.
