Reporting to the Director of Database Operations the Business Intelligence Engineer III is a full-time position. This position is a key part of the Business Intelligence team which is responsible for delivering best-in-class analytical data solutions. This position will have a senior role in data warehouse projects and reporting systems, with opportunities to develop innovative solutions and explore new technologies. This position will be responsible for coordinating resources from several disciplines to deliver new business intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
Essential Job Duties:
Participate in the entire lifecycle for Business Intelligence Solution Delivery
Design, build, document and manage data warehouse objects and processes using SQL Server Integration Services, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory and other Azure resources such as Azure Data Lake
Assist with BI Solution architecture and performance tuning
Provide project estimation for small to highly complex projects
Develop, test and deliver error free data
Stay abreast of BI industry best practices and relevant new technologies
Work with business units to improve efficiencies through analytics
Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
Design and support ML Processes using Microsoft ML Server with R and Powershell
Design, develop and support SSAS Tabular models
Support existing SSAS OLAP cubes and related processes
Design and develop reports using PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services
Perform technical analysis documentation
Participate in road mapping and technology implementation planning
Ability to work independently (as well as within a team environment)
Ability to work a flexible day schedule required including occasional evenings as part of on-call rotation
Lead project teams in the delivery of new functionality to the data warehouse
7+ years developing Business Intelligence solutions
5+ years developing solutions using the MS SQL Server BI Stack including both on-premise and Azure cloud resources
Solid understanding of the advanced Data Warehousing methods
Strong knowledge of SSIS, Azure Data Factory, TSQL, Azure DevOps and related Microsoft BI tools
Understanding of dimensional data structures and complex hierarchies
Advanced understanding data visualization practices and methods
ETL/ELT Package Design Patterns and Configuration
Recent working knowledge of PowerBI Reporting and related tools
SSAS Tabular Architecture and Design
Security implementation in databases and BI solutions
Agile BI DW development methodologies
TDWI -CBIP -Certified Business Intelligence Professional
Microsoft - MCITP - BI Developer
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required
