Position Summary:

The Director, Media Operations & Optimization is a full-time position reporting to the Vice President of Marketing. This role is responsible for forecasting and long-term marketing acquisition performance. As the Director of Media Operations & Optimization you will own the media mix and multi-touch attribution models and use predictive analytics to track the quality of inquiries.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage all forecasting for near and long-term marketing acquisition performance and establish targets for daily delivery to annualized enrollments

  • Track quality of inquires using predictive analytics based an in-depth understanding of media channels and early indicators of academic persistence

  • Own and manage media mix and multi-touch attribution data models and have a core understanding of online media consumption pathways, conversion data, and multi-channel attribution (MTA)

  • Establish suite of dashboards for quick ad-hoc data analysis and weekly evaluation of lead delivery and marketing efficiency by utilizing internal and external data sources

  • Support marketing channel managers by delivering campaign insights for maximum quality and return on investment

  • Assist with the development of marketing experiments, including targets and evaluation methodology

  • Develop and manage reporting focused on key metrics associated with quality of ad placements, tagging and overall health of our tracking parameters

  • Manage tracking and reporting associated with daily, weekly, and monthly media spend

  • Track marketing spend (manually and via API, depending on the type of spend) and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure we are on tracking correctly to budgeted plans and collaborate with Financial Management team to track quality of overall acquisition billing

  • Understand and optimize the precise mechanics and data associated with each of our digital marketing channels

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years’ relevant marketing operations experience; preferred experience in media operations

  • Experience and track record of success working with cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to execute, track and report on quality of inquires

  • Experience in working with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBi, or other), Google Analytics, Salesforce, and other tools

  • Understanding of inner workings of digital ecosystems and know the differences between industry acronyms like DSP, PPC, SSP, CDP, DMP, MTA, etc.

  • Experience using a DMP or CDP

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in digital marketing
