Job Description:

Position Summary:

The People Development Specialist must be a passionate, creative, collaborative Zovion who brings experience in end-to-end learning and development activities. As a member of the People Development and Engagement team, this hands-on role will foster our “people-first” culture by creating state-of-the-art content, digital learning, and Learning Management System management. This newly created role will report to and support the Director, People Development and Engagement, driving key initiatives that ensure we develop, retain, and advance diverse talent across all business areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams and subject matter experts to identify the target audience(s) learning needs, select appropriate learning instructional methods by applying modern instructional design theories, practices, and methods

  • Develop strategies for integrating classroom-based and digital learning methodologies, providing a blended learning environment

  • Create, develop, and deploy innovative blended learning related to new hire onboarding, new leader onboarding, leadership development, legal, regulatory, and compliance training that supports learner-centric experiences

  • Design, develop and deploy digital learning solutions using a combination of media, text, graphics, animation, audio, video, and interactive content to maximize engagement and drive positive business outcomes

  • Create learning that reflects a diverse audience, including sensitivities around cultural differences and ADA accessibility

  • Participate in efforts to select, evaluate, and manage eLearning vendors and platforms

  • Manage all aspects of our internal Learning Management System – Workday – which includes uploading and assigning courses, providing necessary reporting, supporting team members, troubleshooting issues, and regularly maintaining all courses

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in instructional design, eLearning development, and LMS management

  • Experience with a wide range of learning technologies, including content development software platforms (Articulate Rise and Storyline, iSpring, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Elucidat)

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and emerging trends in instructional design

  • Familiarity with Graphics/Photo Imaging/Video Software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro)

  • Experience with SharePoint administration and design, including HTML and Java experience

  • Ability to work independently, cross-functionally with subject matter experts, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization

  • Savvy in navigating ambiguity and working under tight timelines

  • Highly collaborative, low ego approach in working with colleagues; leverage emotional intelligence to achieve positive outcomes

  • Knowledge of MS office, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent preferred

Education Requirements:

If a degree or education credit minimum is required for the position, all education must be conferred by a regionally accredited or approved nationally accredited institution. All candidates must provide proof of higher education (official transcripts) upon request.
