Partner with the engineering team to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions
Lead Quality Assurance teams in test automation activities on medium to large scale projects and programs
Verify quality acceptance of web-based and mobile applications across multi-platform environments
Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and any advancements in technology
Triage and debug issues reported by users, customer success, and internal teams
Work in and maintain a test framework for frontend and backend tests
Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution and reporting is effective and efficient
Identify new tools and communicate/suggest new processes that improve how we perform QA efforts
Go beyond traditional QA and ai in the delivery of other product launches via a streamlined, agile process
Identify and clearly document (SOP) test automation strategies and processes for internal/external teams
Identify risks on release cycle data for inclusion in test reports
Plan, create and use automated tests scripts to verify Quality Assurance standards are met
Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts by contributing ideas and feedback to quality management
6-7 years’ work experience in software quality assurance or equivalent training and education
Strong work experience mentoring QA personnel in test automation principles and best practices
Working knowledge of selenium test tools to support test automation initiatives
Working knowledge of various Software Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and iterative techniques
Multi-platform testing (Windows, UNIX, LINUX)
Constructing SQL queries and joins.
.NET (including C#, SQL server, Visual Studio)
Creating automated testing scripts (VB, Ruby, PHP, Java or C#)
Experience with automated performance load testing tools and best practices
Strong knowledge of XML, SOAP, web service technologies and Service Oriented Architecture
Strong knowledge of issue/defect tracking systems and defect life cycle
Able to implement test automation tasks that work well in a team setting
Working knowledge of compliance regulations for publicly traded education institutions - experience preferred
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills required
Customer focus both internal/external
Experience using MS Team Foundation Server tools to create test plans, test cases, test execution, defect tracking and code repository for deployments.
Experience with JIRA is a plus.
Ability and willingness to work on a variety of projects as business priorities change; a team player willing to help others when workload allows.
- Bachelors degree required (Masters degree or related certifications preferred)
