Zovio Systems Engineer I in Chandler, Arizona
The System Engineer I position is a full-time remote employment opportunity. Reporting to the Senior Director of IT Operations, the role of the SCCM Systems Engineer I will serve as a System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Engineer and a key member of the organizations Systems Center Support Team. Primary responsibilities include patch management, update and application packaging and distribution, operating system deployment (OSD), IT system security related issues, threat mitigation and reporting, analyzing data to spot trends, managing patches for software certifications, data collection and reporting. The SCCM Engineer shall be knowledgeable in multiple current technology areas, including client computer hardware and operating systems, end-user desktop software, remote management, and end-user device security management and patching. Team members shall be directly responsible for the development, integration and production SCCM server infrastructure suites on multiple LANs and looked to include server and application configuration, project documentation and production Tier III support for the enterprise customer base.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of our IT business systems and periodically participate in IT-related projects as a project team member.
Essential Job Duties:
Ability to create Deployment/Collections/Packages/Applications within an SCCM 2012 CB/Intune environment
Understanding of setup/use/troubleshooting of software deployment "Maintenance Windows"
Full understanding of downloading and deploying Software Updates, WSUS, Deployment Packages, Windows 10 Servicing
Manage and deploy third party patches leveraging SCCM 2012 CB (using Ivanti)/ Intune
Manage and deploy third party applications through SCCM 2012 CB/ Intune
Management of Operating System Deployment (OSD) in SCCM 2012 CB/Intune, Answer files, PXE, DISM, DHCP options and scopes, USMT, Windows, Mac, device drivers, Virtual machines
Management and understanding of compliance baselines, configuration items
Manage and deploy server & client OS patches leveraging SCCM 2012 CB/ Intune
SCCM client management. SCCM client health, remediation, Boundaries, Boundary Groups, Discovery, Client Policies, Windows, Mac clients (using Parallels Mac Management)
Build applications, packages, task sequences to facilitate automated deployments
Reporting with SCCM 2012 CB/Intune
PowerShell Scripting experience, Shell, Batch, VBScript
Creating TSQL, WQL Queries and Reporting experience with the SCCM database. Experience using Report Builder
Applicant must be able to work in a team environment with other systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations and work well multi-tasking various related efforts
Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
Assist external auditors, regulatory auditors and other 3rd parties as needed
Assist in company-wide compliance initiatives
Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues in relation to application deployment and SCCM Infrastructure
Threat mitigation and reporting
Create and present project handoff technical documentation.
Train and mentor our other Support Teams.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with SCCM
A minimum of 2 years of experience managing enterprise level Microsoft networks is a must.
Experience in a fast-paced environment and can work remote
Proven track record for working effectively with technical and business functions
Ideal candidate is a strong team player, quality conscious, has excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and is highly self-motivated
Experience deploying applications and system patches on Microsoft Windows 2012 and other third party components and services.
Strong working experience with Windows 2012/2016/2019, VMware, Cluster Technologies, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, Active Directory, MS Terminal Services, DNS services, LDAP, DHCP, Group policy
Must have the ability to participate in after hours on call rotation
Must have the ability to periodically work nights and weekends for technology rollout and maintenance purposes.
Experience managing enterprise server hardware in a tier 1 data center environment a plus.
Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a plus.
Scripting skills using PowerShell, Shell, Batch, VBScript a plus.
Microsoft certifications a plus.
Experience with Azure and cloud provider’s a plus.
