Job Description:
Position Summary:
Reporting to a Regional Manager, Corporate Alliances, the Corporate Alliance Executive II (CAE-II) is a full-time position within Zovio Employer Services. The CAE-II is responsible for business development to add new corporate partners and to optimize partner engagement to increase utilization of Zovio solutions. The primary objective of the CAE-II is to accurately represent Zovio, its subsidiaries, and partnering universities to the corporate community in a professional and service-oriented manner. The CAE-II must be able to increase and maintain positive awareness of Zovio within the governmental and corporate communities. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish business development and portfolio revenue growth goals. The CAE-II position can be a career development opportunity for qualified CAE-I wishing to gain more skills in account management and business development. The CAE-II is expected to manage a significantly larger account portfolio than a CAE-I. Frequent travel is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Stay apprised of current events within markets while maintaining current and thorough knowledge of all Zovio offerings, plus applicable regulatory, operational, and compliance guidelines of the industry and Zovio clients
Structure, negotiate and close agreements and memorandums of understanding covering all Zovio solutions with Zovio corporate partners
Collaborate with Education Partnership Representatives, Operations personnel, and other CAEs to develop student recruitment and event strategies, achieving a high level of account performance
Schedule events independently and, as appropriate, working with Education Partnerships Representatives to guide event scheduling and execution
Achieve engagement and needs assessment across partners' entire geographic business footprint, including operations divisions
Build lasting, value-added relationships with new and existing corporate partners
Anticipate, research, and identify opportunities for education partnerships
Track and record opportunity progress in salesforce
Achieve high levels of partner satisfaction by providing excellent service to clients
Demonstrate respect for our partners' cultures, comport with their ethos and all outreach guidance, and respond to partner issues to ensure long term success in this role
Responsible for understanding any account sensitivities (e.g., no solicitation, limitations on employee benefits eligibility, and TPA processes), communicating these sensitivities to the rest of the account team, and ensuring compliance
CAE-IIs work with Education Partnership Representatives, Operations personnel, and partners to define the communications cadence and format to serve partners' needs best and develop a foundation for long term account growth
Engage with university faculty and Zovio subsidiaries to determine opportunities for tailored academic offerings as well as provide the academic team market intelligence
Communicate partner benefits to potential students through mailers, company newsletters, webinars, and in-person events
Responsible for the student experience within their accounts, including collaboration with Enrollment Services, Student Services, and Financial Services team members as necessary
Gain a detailed understanding of markets, segments, and segment organizations with a focus on identifying those entities which align with Zovio and our client universities' strategic objectives
Anticipate, research, and identify opportunities for promoting Zovio and our university clients
Responsible for tracking and reporting progress against account performance targets and updating account plans to achieve objectives, including preparation of materials for internal and external account reviews
Provide weekly activity reports to leadership as well as real-time documentation of activities via tools such as salesforce
Develop and deliver compelling presentations to small and large groups
Respond with timely internal and external communication
Ensure meticulous execution of all projects and work, with data and content consistently accurate and well presented
Conscientious and responsible with company resources including monthly expense allowance
Help to develop market strategies for new Zovio solutions
Assist manager in team projects and administrative duties
Actively mentor less tenured members of the team
Drive business development training, including curriculum development and onsite training for new members of the CAE team
Assist manager with interviews of CAE candidates
Preferred Experience:
2-3 years' experience in account management and business development within the online, higher education industry
Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, project management, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines
Demonstrated ability to recognize marketing and business development opportunities and to pursue them strategically
Quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through
Must demonstrate proven results in business development preferably with large organizations
Proven track record of producing measurable value to their department
Both a self-starter and a team-player, able to perform in a fast-paced environment
High degree of self-determination and motivation, with a driving sense of responsibility, accountability, preparation, responsiveness, and service
Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends
Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills required
Education:
BA/BS degree required from a regionally or approved nationally accredited University. All candidates must provide proof of official transcripts upon request.
